Tobin Bell gets Bumped

It looks like we’re going to be seeing a lot of Tobin Bell soon, who you all know as Jigsaw in the SAW movies. He’s in, of course, SAW IV, BURIED ALIVE, BOOGEYMAN 2 and now it looks like Mr. Bell will be teaming up with Robert Kurtzman on an adaptation of a comic mini-series.

Tobin Bell, known to horror audiences worldwide for his turn as Jigsaw in the “Saw” franchise, will take on the lead role of Sheriff Lundy in the film adaptation of the acclaimed comic mini-series, Bump. Bell, who will also produce, joins fellow horror legend Robert Kurtzman, who will direct.

Now if you don’t know what BUMP is, it’s a supernatural tale of extreme horror, where even the confines of the grave aren’t able to contain the brutal spirit of serial killer Edgar Dill, and his legion of monstrous Treehuggers!

Tobin Bell is ready to take on the role of the troubled Sheriff Lundy. He stated “Sheriff Lundy has been enforcing local law for many years in this rural community. This is his turf.” He’s seen a lot in his day, but never anything like the terrifying, formidable foe he’s up against here. Seasoned, tough-as-nails, determined to prevail, this sheriff’s not the kind of guy you f**k with.”

Sounds like we can look forward to Tobin Bell kicking some serious ass, and I can’t wait! BUMP was released this year through Fangoria and will be re released in a paperback form sometime in 2008.
