Freaky (watch it HERE) collaborators Michael Kennedy and Christopher Landon are teaming up again to bring us a new genre project called Time Cut, which is being described as "Back to the Future meets Scream" – and when it comes to a plot, that's all the information we have to go on at this time. Kennedy has written the Time Cut script with Crazy Ex-Girlfriend story editor Sono Patel and Landon will be producing the film with Matt Kaplan's ACE Entertainment.
Although Landon directed Freaky, he will not be directing Time Cut. Instead, Hannah MacPherson, director of Sickhouse and the Into the Dark film Pure, is taking the helm.
The film has two Netflix stars signed on to take the lead roles: Madison Bailey of Outer Banks and Antonia Gentry of Ginny & Georgia.
Time Cut is expected to begin filming in Canada next month.
I have really enjoyed Landon's time loop slashers Happy Death Day and Happy Death Day 2 U, as well as the body swap slasher Freaky, and a "Back to the Future meets Scream" movie sounds like something that will be right in line with those films. I'm looking forward to Time Cut.
