Golly, we're almost a week away from the long-anticipated release of DEADPOOL; the film that many thought would never come to fruition, let alone as a fourth-wall breaking R-rated dose of madness, will hopefully be blowing our collective asses away very soon. While we wait, Twentieth Century Fox has released an IMAX-centric featurette in which DEADPOOL director Tim Miller has a few words to say about why he loves the character and the benefit of debuting the film in a large-format presentation.

A synopsis for DEADPOOL:
Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
