Tim Burton’s Addams Family series Wednesday casts Jenna Ortega in lead role

So this is exciting! Netflix has announced that actress Jenna Ortega (Scream) will be the new Wednesday Addams in Netflix's upcoming sequel series to The Addams Family, simply titled called Wednesday, to be directed by none other than Tim Burton!

Here's the official synopsis:

Wednesday’s attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships.

Now I have a lot of feelings about this thing, as a huge fan of The Addams Family – very little of it positive. But I think Ortega looks the part, so I feel she at least won't be one of the issues I have with it.
