Looks like Tim Burton has the green light once again…

According to Variety, French dame Eva Green is in serious negotiations to star in Tim Burton's next flick, the supernatural oddity MISS PEREGRINE'S HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN. As you may recall, Green also starred in Burton's last feature, the critically drubbed DARK SHADOWS.

As for PECULIAR CHILDREN, based on the Ransom Riggs novel, it's follows:

A teenager who finds himself transported to an island where he must help protect a group of orphans with special powers from creatures out to destroy them. Green would play the title character, who acts as a guardian for these orphans."

The flick would continue a sweet genre run for Green, who not only appeared in the 300 sequel earlier this year, but has SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR out soon, and can also be seen in Showtime's new series "Penny Dreadful."

MISS PEREGRNE'S HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN is set for a February start date.
