Three rock boat

For everyone out there who is prone to massive, sky-puncturing erections from the very mention of casting news, I’d suggest you change into a pair of sweatpants, because Kenneth Branagh, Rhys Ifans (NOTTING HILL), and January Jones (MAD MEN) have been cast in THE BOAT THAT ROCKED.

This project is noteworthy because it’s being written and directed by Richard Curtis, who did the same for the charming LOVE, ACTUALLY and who wrote FOUR WEDDINGS AND A FUNERAL and NOTTING HILL, not to mention Blackadder and Mr. Bean movies and episodes. Branagh and Ifans will play pirate DJ’s on a British radio show during the 70’s, and Jones will play a U.S. woman who visits the boat and falls for her boyfriend’s friend (Ifans).
