Thor: Ragnarok finds itself a new screenwriter in Stephany Folsom

The script for THOR: RAGNAROK started off in the hands of Craig Kyle and Christopher Yost, then, once Taika Waititi came on board to direct, it was said that he was being brought in to help "brighten the corners of Ragnarok while maintaining writer Christopher Yost's apocalyptic vibe." Now THR reports that yet another new screenwriter has been secured in order to whip the script for THOR: RAGNAROK into shape.

The outlet reports that Marvel has hired Stephany Folsom to work on the THOR: RAGNAROK script. Folsom doesn't have too many credits to her name at the moment, but she's probably most well known for her 2013 Black List script "1969: A Space Odyssey or How Kubrick Learned to Stop Worrying and Land on the Moon" which was an "alternate-history telling of a publicist that convinces filmmaker Stanley Kubrick to work with NASA in order to fake the moon landing." We don't know much about the story of THOR: RAGNAROK at the moment, other than it will be "about (the Norse legends of) 'Ragnarok" and also bring Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) together for what Ruffalo calls "a buddy picture."

THOR: RAGNAROK is set for a November 3, 2017 release.
