Another new clip from THOR: THE DARK WORLD has entered midgard today, this time showing off the God of Thunder as he makes his grand entrance into battle to aid his fellow Asgardian warriors. The clip was shown at SDCC this year as part of their sizzle reel and I'm once again reminded why I'm looking forward to this. Sure, it's a Marvel film and they have earned a spot as reliable entertainment, but beyond that the look that director Alan Taylor has crafted is much grittier than what we had with the first entry, which was a little more clean in its presentation. I like the dirt, sweat, and debris that fills the screen here and it makes me yearn for some kick-ass battle sequences in the nine realms and I think we just might get that with this sequel.
Check it out:
It's hard to believe that this is just three weeks away. Although anticipation continues to build I don't think anyone is expecting IRON MAN 3 numbers, but I feel like it's going to do better than the first film seeing as the popularity of the character has most certainly grown since then (and with THE AVENGERS appearance to boot). More than anything, I just want to see a kick ass Thor film and so far it looks like it's trending that way.
THOR: THE DARK WORLD, starring Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Natalie Portman, Christopher Eccleston, Anthony Hopkins, Stellan Skarsgard, Jamie Alexander, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Rene Russo, and Kat Dennings hits theaters on November 8, 2013.
