Thor 2 will go on without Kenneth Branagh

I really thought that if THOR 2 came around that Kenneth Branagh would be back to direct. Guess that isn’t the case.

Marvel and Disney are going forward with THOR 2 and Chris Hemsworth will still be our titular hero. But why did Branagh decide to abandon the second installment?

The only information offered by Deadline is that the split was “mutual and amicable”. Okay… Branagh will be involved in some sort of capacity but they’ve got to find someone else to helm.

THOR 2 will be released the summer of 2013. So right now they are quickly trying to find someone to replace Branagh.

I really hope that he comes out and says why he decided not to do this. I guess he just isn’t a sequel directing kind of guy.
