This X-Files image gallery will give you the heebie jeebies

The X-Files is dropping some serious material today. Along with the 21 minute promo video posted today, we've also received exactly as many new images from the show! Some images feature actors returning to their iconic roles, some are appropriately cryptic, and some are premium grade nightmare fuel. I'm definitely going to have nightmares about that bloody autopsy scene, but that's not the only grisly extraterrestrial fever dream you'll encounter in these images. Check them out below!

The series premiere, "My Struggle", centers on Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) investigating Annet Mahendru's character, who is believed to be a "possible alien abductee," according to Joel McHale's character, a conservative talk show host who gives Mulder and Scully the tip to investigate her.

The X-Files team is joined by Bruce Harwood, Tom Braidwood, Dean Haglund, Robbie Amell, Lauren Ambrose, Rhys Darby, and Kumail Nanjiani. The X-Files will beam onto Fox with a six-episode tenth season on January 24, 2016. Three of the episodes have been written by series creator Chris Carter, with the remaining three written and directed by X-Files veterans Glen Morgan, Darin Morgan, and James Wong.
