I believe in a great many number of things, but so far, I have yet to witness any flying saucers and little green men in my time here on planet Earth. Do I think that aliens exist? Sure, though I see them as being more of a parasitic nature than the sallow-skinned, almond-eyed beings that Hollywood has cooked up over the years.
Regardless of what I think, it doesn't change the fact that Ridley Scott has yet another alien-oriented film on the way by the name of PHOENIX FORGOTTEN, a found-footage-style thriller that reminds me an awful lot of the 1999 supernatural sensation THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT.

See what I mean? That's not to say that the film won't do it's own thing, and it certainly appears to be freaky enough to pique my interest. Here's the fim's official synopsis: Three teens go into the desert shortly after a bizarre incident, hoping to document the strange events occurring in their town. They disappeared that night and were never seen again. Now, on the twentieth anniversary of their disappearance, unseen footage has finally been discovered, chronicling the final hours of their fateful expedition. For the first time ever, the truth will be revealed…
Sounds pretty cool, right? PHOENIX FORGOTTEN is produced by Ridley Scott, directed Justin Barber, written by T.S. Nowlin, and stars Matt Biedel, Ana Dela Cruz and Florence Hartigan.
PHOENIX FORGOTTEN looks to abduct audience members beginning on April 21, 2017.
