At the beginning of August, we got our first teaser for Kathryn Bigelow’s ZERO DARK THIRTY. After viewing, the schmoes swapped comments on historical inaccuracies, due to the extra tidbit that Alejandro posted. There were stories on the internet that Bigelow and Boaz were diving deep into their homework for this one, but we will find out when the film releases. Even then, how can we determine what in this story is fact? Especially with what little we do know about Seal Team Six. The truth will no doubt be stretched.
The second trailer for the film centers on Jessica Chastain’s character, and give us more background. We also get a moment with the actual team on their downtime as Chastain approaches them with what sounds like the mission info. This said, I think this will definitely be more lively than THE HURT LOCKER, which while interesting was a tad slow in my humble opinion. Bigelow is definitely a great director though.
Check out the trailer below.
For a decade, an elite team of intelligence and military operatives, working in secret across the globe, devoted themselves to a single goal: to find and eliminate Osama bin Laden. Zero Dark Thirty reunites the Oscar(R) winning team of director-producer Kathryn Bigelow and writer-producer Mark Boal (The Hurt Locker) for the story of history’s greatest manhunt for the world’s most dangerous man.
