This new video from The Amazing Spider-man 2 may be dropping a huge spoiler

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 has revealed a lot since the trailers have hit the Internet, including looks at most of the rogue’s gallery populating the film. Everyone from Rhino to Electro to Harry Osborn as the Goblin have appeared in one way or another. Hell, we have even seen glimpses at the Vulture wings and Doctor Octopus tentacles for future installments. But, what remains a mystery is how Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn will be integrated into the story.

Cooper himself has been vague saying he expects to be a larger presence after the second film, but this new tie-in video from Kellog’s may be dropping a major spoiler about his character and how he fits into the plot of THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2. Now, I will warn you that this is a potential spoiler and you are watching and reading from here at your own risk.

Check out the video below.

This being new footage directly from THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2. While the Stan Lee voice-over is a bit goofy, this clearly indicates that when Peter and Harry meet in the film for the first time, it is after the death of Norman Osborn. I am thinking that the scenes of Norman talking to Harry from his bed may be later in the film, so there is the potential twist that everyone thinks Norman Osborn is dead but only he and Harry know the truth.

Whichever way it goes, I am sensing a lot of daddy issues between Peter and Harry, a theme that runs back even to the Sam Raimi films and the comics beforehand. All we can do at this point is theorize as to where this information fits into the film as a whole and we will all find out when THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 hits theaters.

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Chris Cooper, Paul Giamatti, Colm Feore, Campbell Scott, Embeth Davidtz, Sally Field, Martin Sheen, and Denis Leary swings into theaters on May 2, 2014.
