Found footage. Exotic locale. Demons. An idiotic title. Sounds familiar, doesn't it? Yoav and Doron Paz’s JERUZALEM takes hints from HOSTEL, DEVIL'S DUE, AS ABOVE, SO BELOW, and countless others in the construction of its plot, and yet why do I find this new trailer irresistible? The fact remains that I could be an idiot, but JERUZALEM might actually be the next (and last) found footage flick of the flock to be worth a watch. Check out the trailer, which features an epic looking grand scale demonic attack on an ancient city, below!
In JERUZALEM:
Two American girls on vacation follow a mysterious and handsome anthropology student on a trip to Jerusalem. The party is cut short when the trio are caught in the middle of a biblical apocalypse. Trapped between the ancient walls of the holy city, the three travelers must survive long enough to find a way out as the fury of hell is unleashed upon them.
JERUZALEM, starring Yael Grobglas, Yon Tumarkin, Tom Graziani, and Danielle Jadelyn, will hit selected theaters and VOD on January 22nd, 2016.
