This clip from Ted introduces us to a little something called mind rape

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

TED intrigues me. It shouldn’t work. The movie should not exist. Nothing about it should work as a film and yet the trailer makes me laugh every single time I see it. All of Seth MacFarlane’s shows have the same problem; they should not work and yet they go to all kinds of wrong places which make me laugh and therefore bring me in for future viewings. The film snob inside of me cringes and yet the movie fan gets excited.

This new clip from TED brings together everything that should not work about this movie that simultaneously functions to make it work. Here we have Ted (Seth MacFarlane) telling his best friend John (Mark Wahlberg) about a new weed called “mind rape.” But, don’t worry, it is “pretty mellow.”

If that didn’t make you laugh, then this is obviously not going to be the movie for you. For everyone else, get excited for TED because it hits theaters this Friday, June 29th.
