Things are getting dangerous in the new X-Files promo

Fox's revival of The X-Files is just under four months away now, and to make sure fans stay hyped the network has released a new promo that's full of fresh footage and Mulder and Scully interactions. There's even an appearance by Horace Pinker! Well, Mitch Pileggi actually plays a character named Skinner on The X-Files, but he'll always be SHOCKER to me.

Returning cast members David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, Pileggi, William B. Davis, Bruce Harwood, Tom Braidwood, and Dean Haglund are being joined by Robbie Amell, Lauren Ambrose, Joel McHale, Annet Mahendru, Rhys Darby, and Kumail Nanjiani in this new season of The X-Files, which will run for six episodes.

The season premiere, which will air on Sunday, January 24, is called "My Struggle" and 

centers on Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) investigating Annet Mahendru's character, who is believed to be a "possible alien abductee," according to Joel McHale's character, a conservative talk show host who gives Mulder and Scully the tip to investigate her.

The second episode will air the following night, Monday the 25th, and the show will continue to air on Monday nights for the next four weeks.
