Arm yourselves with some coat hangers because those ferocious fowl are at it again!
James Nguyen’s BIRDEMIC: SHOCK AND TERROR was a cult hit thanks to its low-fi special effects, horrendous acting and amateur hour directing, becoming one of those films that is considered “so bad it’s good” (I found it to be just plain bad) and earning a small but loyal following/fanbase. For some reason Nguyen thought it would be a good idea to continue the story with a sequel entitled BIRDEMIC 2: THE RESURRECTION, and we have a look at the theatrical poster for this turkey below.
In this sequel to cult favorite Birdemic: Shock and Terror, a flock of eagles and vultures wreak havoc amidst blossoming romance in Hollywood, California, leaving bloodshed and destruction wherever they hover. The story features original Birdemic survivors Rod and Nathalie, who are joined by new friends—struggling filmmaker Bill, aspiring actress Gloria, and several other Angelinos they encounter as they battle angry birds and a host of new enemies.”
BIRDEMIC 2: THE RESURRECTION will be opening in limited theaters this April before it expands in June with premieres set for LA, NYC, Philadelphia, London, and Paris. Check out the trailer for the flick below:
