Only two weeks have gone by since we saw the first trailer for the Netflix streaming service’s upcoming “darkly comedic thriller series” The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window (which was originally announced under the shorter title The Woman in the House), and now another trailer has already arrived online. You can check it out in the embed above – and if you like what you see, you don’t have long to wait for the full series. The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window is scheduled to start streaming on January 28th!
Created by showrunners Rachel Ramras, Hugh Davidson, and Larry Dorf, The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window stars Kristen Bell as
Anna, a heartbroken woman who likes to watch her neighbors and drinks too much. Things take a turn when a hot widower, Neil, and his daughter move in across the street and Anna witnesses a murder in their home… or does she?
Bell is joined in the cast by Tom Riley, Samsara Yett, Cameron Britton, Michael Ealy, Mary Holland, Shelley Hennig, Christina Anthony, and Benjamin Levy Aguilar.
Bell told Entertainment Weekly that this show is so absurd, she had trouble figuring out exactly how to play it – should she play scenes as a joke, or seriously? Ramras told her to “do everything as sincere as possible, but make sure you’re laughing on the inside.” According to Bell, this has resulted in “the best bad acting I’ve ever wanted to accomplish in my career.” I look forward to seeing this bad acting when The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window reaches Netflix.
