The second season of Netflix's The Witcher isn't expected to cast a spell on fans of the Henry Cavill-led fantasy-action series until next year, but Netflix recently unleashed a teaser that positions the show as an all-out monster mash.
Set to the classic Halloween jam "Monster Mash" by Bobby Pickett, the new promo provides fans with a front-row seat to a look at many of the show's creepy creatures, including some that are to be featured as a part of the upcoming sophomore season. What you're going to want to do is watch the video posted below, and then freeze the footage at both the 0:15 and 0:31 marks, which is when you'll catch a glimpse of the new nightmares.

If you're quick, you'll see that the first creature has several, spider-like legs. It almost looks like a spinal cord that is capable of skittering around, doesn't it? Granted it's kind of hard to tell, given how quick the video moves onto the next scene, but still, it's enough to give those with wild imaginations a spot of chills. The second of the new creatures are three cloth-clad skeletons, each one standing back to back while floating toward the camera. Is it possible that One-Eyed Willy's crew have escaped the lower decks of The Inferno and have wandered onto the set of Netflix's The Witcher? Probably not, but it's still an entertaining thought, eh?
You can read the official synopsis for The Witcher Season 2 below:
Convinced Yennefer's life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. While the Continent's kings, elves, humans and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside.
The Witcher Season 2 stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, Freya Allan as Ciri, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, Basil Eidenbenz as Eskel, Joey Batey as Jaskier, MyAnna Buring as sorceress Tisssaia de Vries, Anna Shaffer as Triss Merigold, Eamon Farron as Nilfgaard army commander Cahir, and Tom Canton as Filavandrel, king of the elves, among others.
The Witcher is excepted to make its return to Netflix sometime in 2021.
