The Winter Soldier takes aim at Zack Snyder and fires back with his own shot

All has been quiet on the Marvel front as it pertains to the superhero turf war Zack Snyder and his DC brethren over at Warner Bros. woud love to start in order to attract more attention to the connected universe they're building. Rivalries always generate interest for both sides, but when one side won't engage, you don't really have much.

Enter Sebastian Stan, the first combatant to enter the battlefield on behalf of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

After hearing Snyder's diss on the MCU and particularly ANT-MAN, the Winter Soldier took a deep breath, took precise aim and fired his own shot back at the BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE director and… once you read it, you have to admit – this grazing flesh wound is sure to sting a bit.

Yeah, I’m sitting here and I’m listening to you and I’m thinking, “Do I want to fire some shots at DC right now, at Zack Snyder?” I read some of those comments where he said something about Batman and Superman, I can’t remember where I read that, somewhere… Something about, “It’s not going to be your flavor-of-the-week Ant-Man.” And I was like, “Oh thanks, Zack. That’s great. Way to do something original.” But I would say we’re still making something very original in our own way. I mean, the Russos are coming in and taking something people are used to and they’re shaping it up and changing it in a very different way. They’re not trying to mimic a better Christopher Nolan movie or something like that.

Oooohhh… burn. As they say on the playground or the courts or somewhere that I can't quite pinpoint but know exists for sure, it's on like Donkey Kong.

Your turn, Mr. Snyder.

How long before this deteriorates into "Your mom" cracks? It's only a matter of time, right?

Sebastian Stan can next be seen in THE MARTIAN as of October 2, but CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, which will forward the DC/Marvel battle for superhero supremacy will drop on May 6, 2016.
