While the streaming wars have made it all the more difficult for regular folks to get all the content they want under one roof, it has led to the development of some very ambitious – not to mention expensive – TV shows and movies, all in a bid to earn your subscription. Amazon has been developing an adaptation of Robert Jordan's best-selling fantasy series The Wheel of Time for several years, and while we haven't seen a heck of a lot from the series, Amazon released a teaser poster at the San Diego Comic-Con @ Home edition that lets us know that we'll finally be able to watch the series this November. Check it out below!
Set in a sprawling, epic world where magic exists and only certain women are allowed to access it, the story of The Wheel of Time follows Moiraine (Rosamund Pike), a member of the incredibly powerful all-female organization called the Aes Sedai, as she arrives in the small town of Two Rivers. There, she embarks on a dangerous, world-spanning journey with five young men and women, one of whom is prophesied to be the Dragon Reborn, who will either save or destroy humanity… Amazon is obviously quite pumped on the series, and they already renewed it for a second season back in May.
You heard what the poster said; The Wheel of Time will launch on Amazon Prime Video this November.
