For the most part January is the month where some movies get a release that goes unnoticed. It’s the calendar equivalent of saying "look over there!" and when audiences don’t pay attention, January gets away with some questionable films. Before you ask, that analogy made perfect sense in my head so I’m sticking with it. One movie coming out wants to defy the stigma of January releases is THE WEDDING RINGER. It’s not just a story of a lame white guy getting help from a cool black guy, there's also a wedding and a smack-talking grandma!
They might not cover a lot of new ground with this premise and they seem to be trying a little way too hard for that R-rating don't you think? The green band trailer we saw back in September was a lot better, I actually laughed. I would still like to check this movie out based on that previous trailer and my six to midnight feelings for Kaley Cuoco. I've featured an image of her with each post for the movie (here and here), so let's make it a trilogy.
THE WEDDING RINGER was directed by Jeremy Garelick (THE BREAK-UP) and stars Josh Gad, Kevin Hart, Kaley Cuoco, Ken Howard, Olivia Thirlby, Cloris Leachman, Jenifer Lewis, and Mimi Rogers.
Also, I don't want to get into it too much because it would take up precious Scandal time, but does this say anything to anyone?
Well as long as @Foyzboi liked it.
The film opens in theaters on January 16, 2015.
