The Walking Dead trailer: final season continues in February

The eleventh and final season of AMC’s The Walking Dead consists of twenty-four episodes that are being released in three blocks of eight episodes each. The first block of episodes started airing on AMC last August, and the second block is scheduled to premiere on February 20th (although you’ll have access to the premiere episode a week early if you have AMC+). In anticipation of “Season 11B”, a trailer for the next block of eight episodes has been released online and can be seen in the embed above. Unfortunately, it’s geo-blocked in some countries.

The Walking Dead season 11B has the following synopsis:

This February, The Walking Dead returns with many of our heroes fighting imminent hellfire under Reaper attack; while others battle Mother Nature’s torrential wrath in Alexandria. For all, their world is literally crashing down around them. Meanwhile, life in the Commonwealth is not as idyllic as it seems.  For some, hope will be renewed. Others will be pushed past the point of no return. One truth holds tight: Lives hang in the balance with each decision drastically changing their future, their chances of survival, and the state of each community.

As of season 11, the cast of The Walking Dead includes Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Lauren Cohan, Cailey Fleming, Josh McDermitt, Christian Serratos, Seth Gilliam, Ross Marquand, Khary Payton, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Nadia Hilker, Lauren Ridloff, Cooper Andrews, Callan McAuliffe, Eleanor Matsuura, Cassady McClincy, Paola Lazaro, Lynn Collins, Margot Bingham, Michael James Shaw, Laila Robins, Josh Hamilton, Ian Anthony Dale, Teo Rapp-Olsson, and Chelle Ramos.

I’m behind on The Walking Dead at the moment, as I haven’t started watching the season 11 episodes, but I’ll probably start catching up on them around the time season 11B is wrapping up. The plan is to be all caught up by the time season 11C, the final eight episodes of The Walking Dead, starts airing later this year. Then I’ll watch the end as it happens.
