The Walking Dead: Season 11 trailer & big bad reveal

The Walking Dead fans have been wondering for a while now who would be playing the new big bad, Pamela Milton, and finally, the actress has been revealed. Laila Robbins, who has a long list of credits including everything from Planes, Trains & Automobiles to The Boys and Homeland, has signed on to play the part, who’s thought to be the show’s final villain before it wraps up its run at the end of this twenty-four episode season, which is set to air in three parts over two years.

AMC revealed the info during the Comic-Con @ Home Panel, while also unveiling the much anticipated full trailer for season 11. In the comics, Milton was the governor of the Commonwealth, who seem to figure in the plot in a big way. The character is an important one in the comics, with her son, Sebastian, responsible for the death of a VERY important character who's actually not even on the show anymore (but still alive in the universe – hint hint). Whoever is playing Sebastian hasn't been revealed yet.

The season, which makes its debut August 22nd, looks to be a dark and grim one, focusing on a determined Maggie (Lauren Cohan) forced to make an unsteady alliance with Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) who, everyone will remember, murdered Glenn (Steven Yeun – who left the show to become a rising movie star). In addition, the end of last season introduced The Reapers, a gang of rovers attacking survivor camps with high-grade weaponry, including Maggie’s group. In the trailer, you can see her wearing a Reapers mask at one point.

It also ends with an awesome tease for Josh Hamilton’s Lance Hornsby, also of the Commonwealth, with them showing a cool PSA that gets interrupted by raw footage of poor Lance in a world of hurt. Oddly, they also released a short, official Comic Con teaser at the same time. Check it out:

Of course, even if The Walking Dead is wrapping up its run, you haven’t seen the last of the franchise – not by a long shot. Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride are taking Daryl and Carol off to a solo spin-off meant to carry on for the original show, although I think this might be the end of the line for Maggie and Negan, though.

The Walking Dead returns to AMC on August 22nd! Check out the full Comic-Con @ Home panel below!
