The Void: Behind the Monsters featurette showcases the film’s stunning SFX

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

I guess I'm just in the mood to share cool behind the scenes videos this Friday afternoon. I just recently shared David F. Sandberg's behind the scenes video for the making of LIGHTS OUT, and now I've got a cool (if not painfully short) behind the scenes look at THE VOID.

If you are like me, you found three things truly stood out about THE VOID. One was the atmosphere the directors achieved in damn near every scene. Two was Kathleen "hey girl, what's yo name" Munroe (see below). And in all seriousness, the third thing was the film's stellar physical special effects.

If you're into physical effects work, or just dug the ever living hell (natch) out of the work done within THE VOID, then I suggest check out the new featurette asap. Enjoy.

THE VOID synopsis:

In the middle of a routine patrol, officer Daniel Carter happens upon a blood-soaked figure limping down a deserted stretch of road. He rushes the young man to a nearby rural hospital staffed by a skeleton crew, only to discover that patients and personnel are transforming into something inhuman. As the horror intensifies, Carter leads the other survivors on a hellish voyage into the subterranean depths of the hospital in a desperate bid to end the nightmare before it's too late.

THE VOID is written and directed by Jeremy Gillespie and Steven Kostanski, and starring Aaron Poole, Ellen Wong, Kathleen Munroe, Stephanie Belding, and Kenneth Welsh.

THE VOID is available on VOD and in select theaters RIGHT NOW.
