The Visitor: Blumhouse TV movie casts Finn Jones and Jessica McNamee

Epix and Blumhouse TV have cast Finn Jones (Iron Fist, Game of Thrones) and Jessica McNamee (Mortal Kombat, The Meg) for their new TV movie, The Visitor. Justin P. Lange directs from a script written by Adam Mason and Simon Boyes. Billed as a psychological thriller, The Visitor finds Jones and McNamee in the lead roles.

Per Deadline‘s exclusive report, here is a description of what’s to come:

After a series of tragedies including the death of his father-in-law, Robert and his wife Maia leave their home in London to move back to her childhood home. But when Robert discovers an old portrait in the attic of a man who is his spitting image, he goes down a rabbit hole to discover the identity of this mysterious doppelganger known only as the visitor. It isn’t long until he realizes – where the visitor goes, death follows.

The made-for-TV feature also stars Dane Rhodes (Creepshow), and Donna Biscoe (Hunger Games).

This isn’t Mason and Boyes’s first rodeo for Blumhouse Television. The duo previously collaborated on multiple episodes of the Into the Dark anthology series, in which McNamee also starred. Production for The Visitors has already kicked off in New Orleans.

The Visitor is part of an eight-film initiative from Epix and Blumhouse TV. Two other movies in the series have already been announced, including A House on the Bayou, from writer/director Alex McAulay, and American Refugee, from director Ali LeRoi. The House on the Bayou follows a troubled couple and their daughter, who go on vacation to an isolated house in the Louisiana bayou to reconnect as a family. However, when unexpected visitors arrive, the unity starts to unravel. As for American Refugee, the film follows a family seeking shelter in their neighbor’s bunker. It takes place during a time when the American economy is in collapse, and the danger inside is greater than outside.

More projects belonging to Epix and Blumhouse’s new slate of films are bound to be announced soon. Be sure to keep an eye out for updates.
