It won't be long until Santa Claus comes to town for all the little boys and girls across the world, but what do we grown-ups get? We get year-end bills in our mailbox, subscription renewals to services that our kids hardly use but simply cannot live without, and expectations for elaborate gifts out the ying-yang. That's not even taking into account the holiday food bills, or travel expenses for schlepping the whole herd out to Grandma's house for a spot holiday frivolity, cranberry sauce, and a turkey that tastes like napkins. Yeah, the holidays are pretty much a gauntlet of extraneous expenditures when you're an adult, but thankfully for those of us who are black in both heart and soul, the Hargreeves family of Netflix's THE UMBRELLA ACADEMY have gifted us with a charming family photo that's sure to make even the greenest of Grinch's smile this holiday season.
As you can see from the photo posted above, Netflix has released a Holiday-inspired cast photo in anticipation of the sophomore season of THE UMBRELLA ACADEMY. Pictured in the above photo from left to right are Aiden Gallagher (Number Five), Tom Hopper (Luther Hargreeves), Ellen Page (Vanya Hargreeves), Emily Raver-Lampman (Allison Hargreeves), Robert Sheehan (Klaus Hargreeves), Justin H. Min (Ben Hargreeves), and David Castaneda (Diego Hargreeves). Each cast member is decked out in their holiday finest, but my favorite among them has to be Page, whose Christmas sweater reads "Merry Christmas, You Filthy Animal." I also deeply appreciate Sheehan's Hanukah sweater that says "Gettin' Lit."
Filming for Season 2 of THE UMBRELLA ACADEMY wrapped on November 24, though we have yet to receive an official release date for the show's follow-up season. In addition to the Hargreeve children pictured above, it's been confirmed that Mary J. Blige, Cameraon Britton, Colm Feore, Sheila McCarthy, and Kate Walsh will also be returning for more time-tripping, dysfunctional family fun.
Happy Holidays to you all from us here at JoBlo, and from the Hargreeve family as well, it would seem!
