Back in the ancient time of 2010, we all thought the toys were done with big screen adventures for good after TOY STORY 3 hit theaters, but now here we are only one month away from seeing the gang back together again in the unsurprisingly titled TOY STORY 4. We’ve seen plenty of the new movie from other trailers and clips, but now being exactly one month out Disney and Pixar have unveiled the final trailer, which finds the toys doing what they do well but not well enough to stop it from happening in the first place: rescuing a fellow toy after they get lost.

Having focused mostly on Woody (Tom Hanks), Buzz (Tim Allen) and Bo Peep (Annie Potts) in past trailers, this new one brings in other fan favorites while showing off more of newcomers, such as Duke Caboom (Keanu Reeves), Bunny (Jordan Peele) and Ducky (Keegan-Michael Key), and even a brief listen to the voice of the late Don Rickles attached to Mr. Potato Head. But if you were hoping to get a greater sense of the overarching themes of the movie then you may be out of luck, as the entire runtime is simply the toys planning the rescue of the new toy Bonnie makes from scratch, Forky (Tony Hale). There are a lot of daring acts and toys doing the impossible, and if you didn’t believe a toy could fly, well, then, maybe go back and watch the first movie.
The more and more I see from this movie, the more I think it's going to be only fine. The last movie was so perfect and exactly how the series should have ended, and everything about the previews here feels like nothing more than one last chance for the toys to rake in $1 billion. Of course, the story could be heartfelt and meaningful too. These movies have always packed in the heart, but is it possible for this fourth movie to have the same perfect emotional resonance the third was able to end on? It does get points for giving us the Fluff Attack, though, wherein two fluffy toys lunge at an old woman and demand answers.

Here's the synopsis:
Woody (voice of Tom Hanks) has always been confident about his place in the world, and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. So, when Bonnie’s beloved new craft-project-turned-toy, Forky (voice of Tony Hale), declares himself as “trash” and not a toy, Woody takes it upon himself to show Forky why he should embrace being a toy. But when Bonnie takes the whole gang on her family’s road trip excursion, Woody ends up on an unexpected detour that includes a reunion with his long-lost friend Bo Peep (voice of Annie Potts). After years of being on her own, Bo’s adventurous spirit and life on the road belie her delicate porcelain exterior. As Woody and Bo realize they’re worlds apart when it comes to life as a toy, they soon come to find that’s the least of their worries.
TOY STORY 4 is in theaters June 21.
