Variety has reported that Jai Courtney has joined the cast of Amazon's upcoming thriller series The Terminal List opposite Chris Pratt as a recurring guest star.
The series follows James Reece (Pratt) after his entire platoon of Navy SEALs is ambushed during a high-stakes covert mission. Reece returns home to his family with conflicting memories of the event and questions about his culpability. However, as new evidence comes to light, Reece discovers dark forces working against him, endangering not only his life but the lives of those he loves. Jai Courtney will play Steve Horn, "the billionaire kingpin behind Capstone Industries. Capstone is an enormously successful global fund with its hand in everything from pharmaceuticals to fashion. But Horn’s bread and butter is capitalizing on the latest military trends and innovations. Horn’s hubris and influence are equally threatening, and will put him squarely in Reece’s crosshairs." In addition to Chris Pratt and Jai Courtney, The Terminal List will also star Taylor Kitsch as Ben Edwards, a former SEAL and Reece's best friend, Constance Wu as Katie Buranek, a risk-seeking war correspondent, and Patrick Schwarzenegger as Donny Mitchell, the baby-faced youngest member of the team. The series will be directed by Antoine Fuqua and written by David DiGilio, who also serves as showrunner and executive producer.
Jai Courtney will next be seen reprising his role of Captain Boomerang in James Gunn's The Suicide Squad. Courtney recently teased that the film is "definitely very violent but it’s also really silly and funny and has immense core and heart to it." The Suicide Squad will hit theaters on August 5, 2021 and start streaming on HBO Max the following day.
