The Strain’s Leslie Hope to scale del Toro’s Crimson Peak

Leslie Hope, who starred in ABC's short lived series "The River" and will appear in the upcoming Guillermo del Toro-produced FX series "The Strain, has just signed on to star in del Toro's CRIMSON PEAK, according to Deadline.

Hope will be joining the previously announced Charlie Hunnam, Jessica Chastain, Mia Wasikowska and Tom Hiddleston in the supernatural horror pic written by del Toro and Matthew Robbins.

In the aftermath of a family tragedy, an aspiring author is torn between love for her childhood friend and the temptation of a mysterious outsider.  Trying to escape the ghosts of her past, she is swept away to a house that breathes, bleeds…and remembers.

Hope will play the gossipy mother of Charlie Hunnam’s character in the gothic horror story.

CRIMSON PEAK is scheduled for an October 16 2015 debut.
