THE SHADOW PEOPLE was filmed in Winnsboro, TX within the "historic" Cain House. The press release says the locals believed the house to be haunted. Boooo… Not only that but the film crew spoke of "weird and strange things events" (yeah, you read that correctly) occurring throughout the shoot.
Anyway, writer Nicholle Walton-Durban says:
“We shot for 3 weeks inside the historic Cain House in Winnsboro, TX and the crew would talk about all kinds of strange things happening such as light bulbs bursting, lights turning themselves on at night, and strange shadows and figures, and much more! It certainly was an experience that will stay with us forever, and we are very pleased to be sharing The Shadow People with North America”
Strange things happened, sure. But what about those previously mentioned "strange things events"? Where we you when those were going down? I want to know just what the hell "strange things/events" entail. Again, just breaking b*lls.
Here is the film's synopsis:
Newlyweds Megan and Andrew have just moved into their dream home with aspirations to start a family. But soon strange events start happening. Voices and shadowy figures haunt Megan, and even Andrew, starts questioning his own sanity as their marriage is being torn apart. The visions grow increasingly real.. and threatening, yet Megan is unwilling to relinquish her home. When the appearance of a mysterious priest unveils the truth behind their nightmare, Megan's reality takes a desperate turn that her haunting visions never could have predicted.
Director Brian T. Jaynes says this about his film:
“Our goal in writing the Shadow People was to foster some critical thinking about the experience we refer to as the hereafter. Bug Hall and Kat Steffens deliver compelling performances and provide a degree of realism to our humble, yet entertaining exploration of some of the mysteries of life and death.”
Managing Director / CEO of Vision Films Lise Romanoff says:
“We here at Vision Films are huge fans of intelligent and suspenseful horror films, especially films with a good twist at the end that will keep you looking over your shoulder long after the credits have rolled.”
THE SHADOW PEOPLE was directed by Brian T. Jaynes, written by David Wilson, and stars C. Thomas Howell, Bug Hall, and Kat Steffens. The film is now available on VOD and DVD across North America.
