The screenplay for the Entourage movie is complete, picks up 6 months after the series finale

The rumors of an ENTOURAGE movie are finally looking like a reality. Deadline is reporting that series creator Doug Ellin is in the final days of writing the big screen adventures of Vince, Turtle, E, and Ari.

Ellin says he plans to have the screenplay completed by Sunday at which point he and Mark Wahlberg will present it to HBO and move forward with production. As far as the timing of the movie, Ellin says it will take place six months after last year’s final episode which found Ari Gold transitioning from super agent to studio honcho.

According to Ellin, “There are interesting developments about Ari as a studio head, and that’s still the first page for me. But foremost is the friendship between the guys who are still hanging out and going to fun parties, and it continues with the same characters.”

I would assume that Adrian Grenier, Jeremy Piven, Kevin Dillon, Kevin Connolly, and Jerry Ferrara would all return for the big screen outing. It remains to be seen if any of the tons of other characters would make an appearance or which high caliber Hollywood celebrities would make cameos.

I liked the first three seasons of ENTOURAGE but everything after that just felt repetitive. Many of my friends have tried to convince me to finish the series which I may now that I know a movie is on the way.

Are you excited for a big screen ENTOURAGE?
