Larry David has some more CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM left in him yet.
That was the announcement that came from HBO today who confirmed a ninth season of the comedic series will be happening, although no further details, particularly when we could expect the show's return, were revealed at this time.
In a statement from David revealing why he was coming back, he said, "In the immortal words of Julius Caesar, ‘I left, I did nothing, I returned.'"
CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM, with 80 episodes under its belt and 39 Primetime Emmy nominations to its credit during that run, is the longest-running scripted comedy or drama series in HBO history… so the show's history is about to get even longer (perhaps longer than LD's balls, if you know what I mean). It's certainly a welcome re-addition to HBO's line-up that fans are sure to be excited about… and, if you haven't had an opportunity to jump into the backlog of CURB episodes that have been sitting there, waiting for you, now is a pretty, pretty, pretty good time to catch yourself up.
