Ignore your inhibitions, bury the past, and get ready to join the summoning circle because Netflix today dropped a new trailer and key art for THE BABYSITTER: KILLER QUEEN!
Taking place two years after defeating a satanic cult led by his babysitter Bee, Cole continues to be haunted by the horrific events of that night. Everyone in his life thinks he has lost his mind since Bee and all of her friends disappeared, making Cole’s story hard to believe. He is still hopelessly smitten with his best friend and next-door neighbor Melanie – the only one who believes his story – who convinces him to forget the past and come to a party thrown at a nearby lake. But when old enemies unexpectedly return, Cole will once again have to outsmart the forces of evil and survive the night.
Fuck yeah! The Psycho Breakfast Club is back, y'all! I'm not going to lie, THE BABYSITTER: KILLER QUEEN is one of my most anticipated films of the year, and that's before the pandemic hit. I'm of the mind that McG's THE BABYSITTER is an underrated gem and this sequel looks just as over the top as the original. Plus, is that Samara Weaving's Bee emerging from the water toward the end of the trailer? What the what?
Directed by McG, who co-wrote the sequel with Dan Lagana, Brad Morris, and Jimmy Warden, THE BABYSITTER: KILLER QUEEN is based on characters created by Brian Duffield. The film has Judah Lewis, Emily Alyn Lind, Bella Thorne, Robbie Amell, Hana Mae Lee, Andrew Bachelor, and Ken Marino each reprising their respective roles from the original film. Jenna Ortega, Chris Wylde, Carl McDowell, Juliocesar Chavez, Maximilian Acevedo, Jennifer Foster, and Helen Hong also star.
THE BABYSITTER: KILLER QUEEN will have its Netflix premiere on September 10, 2020. Meanwhile, you can check out the official poster for the upcoming bloodbath below.
