Judging by the reactions to the first trailer, it doesn't sound like many people are on board with this remake. Not that I can blame them, as it looks like a pretty generic "extreme sports" showcase. Unfortunately, it's also taking up the name of one of the most fun and beloved action flicks of yesteryear that had a group of actors we all loved to see together. Warner Bros. may have sought to create a popcorn movie in the same vein as the original, but it looks as though the comparisons will ultimately hurt its box office chances, especially given what else we be in theaters come this Christmas.
