The trailer has just dropped for the new sci-fi epic series, The Peripheral. The new drama is based on the New York Times best-seller from William Gibson. The show was created by the team behind the hit HBO series Westworld, Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan, and will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video later this year.
The series stars Chloe Grace Moretz, Jack Reynor of Midsommer, Gary Carr of The Deuce, Eli Goree from One Night in Miami, Louis Herthem of Westworld, and T’Nia Miller from The Haunting of Bly Manor.
“Flynne Fisher (Chloe Grace Moretz) lives in the rural American South, working at the local 3D printing shop while earning much-needed extra money playing VR games for rich people. One night she dons a headset and finds herself in futuristic London—a sleek and mysterious world, alluringly different from her own hardscrabble existence. But this isn’t like any game she’s ever played before: Flynne begins to realize it isn’t virtual reality… it’s real. Someone in London, seventy years in the future, has found a way to open a door to Flynne’s world. And as utterly beguiling as London is… it’s also dangerous. The author, Gibson, has shared the trailer to his fans on his personal Twitter account as well as Moretz on her own social media. The series will debut on Prime Video this October and will be releasing an episode every Friday until this December. Amazon will make the series available in 240 countries and territories globally, as with its other original productions such as Rings of Power.
The Peripheral will begin streaming this October 21st and will be releasing episodes until December 9.
