The Passenger trailer: Spanish horror film is coming to the US in June

A red band trailer has been released for the Spanish horror film The Passenger, and you can check it out in the embed above… but fair warning before you do, there are some very gross sights to be seen in there. As you can tell from the thumbnail. If you like what you see, you’ll be glad to know that Dark Star Pictures and Bloody Disgusting are teaming up to release The Passenger in the United States very soon. The film will be receiving a limited theatrical release on June 3rd, with a VOD release to follow on June 28th.

The Passenger marks the feature directorial debut of Raúl Cerezo, who co-directed with Fernando González Gómez. Gómez previously directed the crime comedy Estándar and contributed to Zombie World 2. Scripted by Luis Sánchez-Polack, Asier Guerricaechebarría, Javier Echániz, and Cerezo, The Passenger has the following synopsis:

A group of strangers sharing a van have their trip abruptly interrupted when the driver accidentally hits a woman hiking in the middle of the night. They decide to take her to the hospital, but on the way quickly learn that she is not in need of a hospital and that they shouldn’t have let her in at all…

The film stars Ramiro Blas, Cecilia Suárez, Paula Gallego, Cristina Alcázar, and Yao Yao. It was produced by Juan Barquín and José Luis Rancaño.

It looks to me like The Passenger will make for an entertaining and disgusting viewing experience, so I’ll probably be checking it out at some point.
