The offspring that 3D films and shrooms gave birth to, One Way Trip, has more deets!

News works fast these days. One day eric’s tossing on this article about this little Germanic film called ONE WAY TRIP and the next day I’m sitting here still sucker-punched by the concept.

Well, as sucker-punched as I may be, Shocktillyoudrop landed this cool bit of info. ONE WAY TRIP, the first German speaking horror flick to be filmed in 3D, is currently undergoing production. The movie, directed by Markus Welter, also has a few more bits of detail and such that must be heard!

One of which is a nifty new logo (see above). Here’s a new synopsis for the show that offers some more background info regarding the characters and the sticky situation they’ve come to play into.

Synopsis: Valerie thought they would drive to Italy to spend a weekend in the sun. But her friends have another target: The magic mushrooms that grow in the remote Swiss Jura. Unwilling she goes along. It’s her last weekend before she moves to Germany and she doesn’t want to be a party pooper. On their way they bump into an old farmer and his strangely beautiful daughter. An encounter more fatal than they would have thought. They are not gonna come back from this trip…

So this is a flick about a few fine folks who trip out on magic mushrooms and die. I’m pretty sure the 3D aspect will have the tricks part of the deal. If dismembered bodies, boobs and evil fishies weren’t enough to keep you satisfied in PIRANHA 3D, they had to slip this one in our drinks.

While there is no current date as to when ONE WAY TRIP will have a U.S. release date (that will change in the coming months), I do know that the film will have a Fall 2011 release schedule across Switzerland and Germany. The film is being released theatrically by Ascot Elite Entertainment and Thimfilm. ONE WAY TRIP also stars Sabrina Reiter (DEAD IN 3 DAYS) and Melanie Winiger.
