Empire got a chance to speak with director Ridley Scott, and he briefly drops a little bit of information on the status of the PROMETHEUS sequels. "PROMETHEUS 2 is written," says Scott, but doesn't indicate when it might start shooting. "I have already got the next two films ready to go. That will be 2014, 2015…"—okay, so it's not much, but what it might indicate is that Fox must have liked Jack Paglen's script, who was brought on board back in June, so there's that. I'm a huge fan of PROMETHEUS—story issues and all—so I'm pretty damn excited to see what happens to Noomi Rapace's Elizabeth Shaw.
And for you BLADE RUNNER fans, Scott also mentions that they are working on it right now, and that it will happen "sooner or later". So basically there's nothing new on that front, but between PROMETHEUS 2 and BLADE RUNNER 2 it's nice to see Scott jumping back into the sci-fi genre again.
