The National Board of Review names The Social Network the Best Film of 2010

Now, it truly begins. A couple of days ago we revealed the nominees for the 2011 Spirit Awards, focusing exclusively on the year’s indie fare. But today we’ve got the picks from The National Board of Review, the first major critics award for all of 2010’s releases.

And the big winner? THE SOCIAL NETWORK. David Fincher’s ‘Facebook film’ took the top prize, as well as Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay for Aaron Sorkin, and Best Actor for Jesse Eisenberg.

Here’s the full list of winners, including the NBR’s Top 11 films of the year (oddly, notable films such as 127 HOURS, BLACK SWAN, and BLUE VALENTINE went curiously missing). Strike Back below and let us know what you think of these picks!
