The Mysterious Benedict Society renewed for Season 2 on Disney+

The Mysterious Benedict Society Season 2 announced

Grab your trusty bucket, brush up on your creative-thinking skills, and get ready for another adventure because The Mysterious Benedict Society is getting a second season on Disney+. Production for the new season begins in early 2022, with members of the original cast returning.

Based on the best-selling YA book series by Trenton Lee Stewart, The Mysterious Benedict Society is some of the most fun I’ve had watching television all year. The show looks and feels like a Wes Anderson film and features plenty of quirky characters and a slick set design. Give it a shot. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by how delightfully quirky it is.

In The Mysterious Benedict Society, four gifted orphans – Reynie (Mystic Inscho), Sticky (Seth Carr), Kate (Emmy DeOliveira), and Constance (Marta Kessler) – are recruited by the peculiar Mr. Benedict (Tony Hale) for a dangerous mission to save the world from a global crisis known as “The Emergency,” Together, they must infiltrate the mysterious L.I.V.E. Institute to discover the truth behind the crisis. When the headmaster, the sophisticated Dr. Curtain, appears to be behind this worldwide panic, the kids of the Mysterious Benedict Society must devise a plan to defeat him.

The Mysterious Benedict Society stars Tony Hale, Mystic Inscho, Seth Carr, Emmy DeOliveira, Marta Kessler, Kristen Schaal, MaameYaa Boafo, Ryan Hurst, and Gia Sandhu. Matt Manfredi and Phil Hay are writer/creator/executive producers of the series with Darren Swimmer and Todd Slavkin serving as executive producers and showrunners.

“We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to continue our journey into Trenton Lee Stewart’s witty, warm and wonderful world in a second season of ‘The Mysterious Benedict Society.’ This has already been such a special experience, thanks to our remarkable cast and collaborators. The belief that 20th Television and Disney+ have shown in our show and their commitment to its values of kindness, empathy, and the celebration of different ways of being, make this all very much a joy,” said Hay, Manfredi, Slavkin, and Swimmer.
