The Midnight Club: Christopher Pike Netflix series has started filming

Last year, genre filmmaker Mike Flanagan was able to shoot an entire Netflix mini-series called Midnight Mass in the midst of the pandemic. While we wait to hear when Midnight Mass will be available to watch on the streaming service, Flanagan is already filming another Netflix series. This one is The Midnight Club, based on the 1994 novel by Christopher Pike (buy it HERE).

Pike's novel takes placeĀ 

at Rotterdam Home, a hospice for terminally ill teenagers. A group of patients begin to gather together at midnight to share scary stories. They eventually make a pact that whichever of them dies first will contact the others from beyond the grave.

Flanagan has written the adaptation with Leah Fong, Elan Gale, James Flanagan, and Chinaka Hodge. Flanagan and Fong are also executive producing the show with Trevor Macy and Julia Bicknell.

The Midnight Club stars Adia, Igby Rigney, Ruth Codd, William Chris Sumpter, Aya Furukawa, Annarah Shephard, and Sauriyan Sapkota as the terminally ill teens. They're joined in the cast by Zach Gilford, Samantha Sloyan, and Matt Biedel, with Heather Langenkamp on board as a enigmatic doctor.
