As we all self-quarantine due to COVID-19, we're all looking for more to watch while we're stuck at home. From binging new shows to exploring throwbacks, streaming has become our new best friend. Netflix has been adding more and titles as of late and they announced that a popular trilogy is now available on their service.
Late last night Netflix took to Twitter to announce that THE MATRIX trilogy would be available to stream beginning today. The annoucement was made on the 21st anniversary of the first film's release in theaters:

THE MATRIX became an instant mind-bending sci-fi classic when it was released back in 1999. The film became a box office hit and spawned two sequels: THE MATRIX RELOADED and THE MATRIX REVOLUTIONS. The sequels expanded on the universe of the first film but they didn't have the same pop-cultural impact of the first film and received mixed notices from critics and moviegoers. The lore, however, is popular enough that THE MATRIX 4 is coming our way with Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss returning as Neo and Trinity so maybe it'll be worth exploring these films once again on Netflix.
Production on THE MATRIX 4 has stopped at this time due to the COVID-19 pandemic but it's tentatively set to be released on May 21, 2021. Will YOU take the red or blue pill and explore THE MATRIX trilogy on Netflix?
