The Marvels plot synopsis reveals the details of Captain Marvel’s ultimate team-up to save the world

The Marvels, plot, synopsis, Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, Brie Larson, Iman Vellani

One of the MCU‘s most powerful heroes, Captain Marvel, is almost ready to fly higher, further, and faster than ever before when The Marvels lands in theaters on July 28, 2023. The anticipated follow-up to Marvel’s 2019 smash, Captain Marvel, finds Brie Larson reprising her role as Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel. In the new film, Carol won’t punch evil in the face alone. Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel (Iman Vellani), and Monica Rambeau, aka Spectrum (Teyona Parris), join her in the fight, creating a trio unlike the Marvel Universe has ever seen. While we’re familiar with the cast, The Marvels plot synopsis has eluded us until now!

Steel yourselves, True Believers! We finally know more about the upcoming film, thanks to a newly-released plot synopsis:

“Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe,” reads a translated version of the synopsis.

“When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan, Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team-up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as ‘The Marvels.'”

The Marvels plot synopsis hints at Carol needing to pay for her actions against the Supreme Intelligence. What changes has Carol brought to Hala, if any? Going binary doesn’t solve all your problems? Who would have guessed?

Captain Marvel went nova with $1.28 billion worldwide despite the sad efforts of smear campaigns, protests, and eye-rolling YouTube videos dedicated to tearing down Carol’s big screen debut. Here we are, years later, and Captain Marvel will undoubtedly take the MCU by storm again, and she’s bringing friends along for the ride! Will The Marvels answer questions about where the character was during large-scale MCU events? How hard will Kamala fangirl out in front of Carol and Monica? Hopefully, Marvel will answer these questions and more when The Marvels lands in theaters next year.
