Jurassic World actress Bryce Dallas Howard has undoubtedly made a name for herself in the Star Wars franchise. After directing standout episodes of The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, THR has reported that Bryce Dallas Howard has returned to direct an episode of The Mandalorian season 3.
Bryce Dallas Howard directed Sanctuary in the first season of The Mandalorian and The Heiress in the second. She also helmed the excellent Mandalorian-centric episode of The Book of Boba Fett, aptly titled Return of The Mandalorian. Given the secrecy surrounding the series, we naturally don’t know much about which episode of The Mandalorian season 3 Bryce Dallas Howard has directed, but I’ve got high hopes given her track record. The new season started shooting last fall and is now in post-production. A trailer screened at Star Wars Celebration (that sadly hasn’t been officially released online) revealed that season 3 of The Mandalorian will debut on Disney+ in February 2023.
In addition to her work behind the camera for the Star Wars franchise, Bryce Dallas Howard is also set to helm a reboot of Flight of the Navigator for Disney+. Jurassic World: Dominion director Colin Trevorrow also recently suggested that Howard should direct a Jurassic World sequel. “She knows I want that, so I’m not going to pretend,” Trevorrow said. “Bryce actually can direct whatever she wants, and if she would ever make that choice to come and make a ‘Jurassic’ movie, we would consider that a tremendous privilege for us.”
Bryce Dallas Howard will next be seen starring alongside Chris Pratt, Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, and DeWanda Wise in Jurassic World: Dominion. Taking place four years after the last film, Dominion will find dinosaurs now living, and hunting, alongside humans all over the world. This fragile balance will reshape the future and determine, once and for all, whether human beings are to remain the apex predators on a planet they now share with history’s most fearsome creatures. Jurassic World: Dominion will be released on June 10, 2022.
