The Last Drive-In season 4 announced by Shudder!

If you go by the episode guide on IMDb, the Shudder streaming series The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs is already up to season 11, but that's because they count the special marathons and double features that pop up here and there between proper seasons as seasons on their own. There have only been three seasons of The Last Drive-In – and now legendary movie host Joe Bob Briggs has taken to his social media accounts to confirm that Shudder has ordered season 4!

Judging by the mention of holidays in that tweet, it sounds like we can look forward to more specials showing up on Shudder while we wait for season 4, boosting that season count on IMDb even higher. Bring it on, I say. The more Joe Bob, the better!

On The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs

the world’s foremost drive-in movie critic hosts eclectic horror movie double features, expounding upon their merits, histories and significance to genre cinema. Shudder and Briggs first teamed up in July 2018, for the 24-hour marathon intended to be Briggs’ final farewell to televised movie hosting. Due to overwhelming popular demand, Shudder brought The Last Drive-In back as a weekly series and for multiple holiday specials.

Joe Bob is joined on every episode by Darcy the Mail Girl. The show is produced by Matt Manjourides and Justin Martell, and directed by Austin Jennings.

Knowing there's more Last Drive-In to look forward to really warms the heart. I've been a fan of Joe Bob Briggs ever since seeing his show Drive-In Theater on The Movie Channel when I was a kid. I missed out on way too much of his Monstervision era, the days when he was actually reaching his widest audience, but I'm a devoted follower of this Shudder Last Drive-In stage of his career.
