The Last Drive-In: Joe Bob Briggs welcomes guest Eli Roth this Friday

As we recently reported, a third season of The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs will be making its premiere on the Shudder streaming service this Friday, April 16th, at 9pm Eastern. Last Friday, Joe Bob teased that "a very special supernerd filmmaker will be joining me via satellite so we can geek out together on two horror classics" during the season 3 premiere, and now he has revealed who that supernerd is: Eli Roth!

Roth's directing credits include Cabin Fever, Hostel, and The Green Inferno, which is why Joe Bob says he has "destroyed tourism on three continents".

In The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs,

Briggs, the world’s foremost drive-in movie critic, presents an eclectic horror movie double feature, interrupting the films to expound upon their merits, histories, and significance to genre cinema. The Last Drive-In premieres on Shudder’s live feed before being made available on demand; proving that an SVOD service can create appointment television, the show’s hashtag, #TheLastDriveIn, has trended in the top 10 on Twitter in the US during the premiere of every episode and special, often reaching number one.

There's no word on which two movies Joe Bob and Roth will be discussing, but I look forward to finding out. This pairing makes sense, since Roth has the docu-series History of Horror, a show that airs on AMC and then ends up on Shudder (which is owned by AMC).
