Last year, we took on the entire CONJURING UNIVERSE including James Wan's THE CONJURING and THE CONJURING 2 starring Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga, ANNABELLE starring Annabelle Wallis, and ANNABELLE: CREATION starring Anthony LaPaglia and Miranda Otto.

And so it only seems fitting that this week we take on director Corin Hardy's THE NUN starring Taissa Farmiga, Demian Bichir, Jonas Bloquet, and Bonnie Aarons. My favorite kill from the film would have to be little Farmiga spitting the blood of Jesus into the old crone's face. Classic spit-take.

When a young nun at a cloistered abbey in Romania takes her own life, a priest with a haunted past and a novitiate on the threshold of her final vows are sent by the Vatican to investigate. Together, they uncover the order's unholy secret. Risking not only their lives but their faith and their very souls, they confront a malevolent force in the form of a demonic nun.

THE NUN is directed by Corin Hardy (THE HALLOWS) from a screenplay written by James Wan and Gary Dauberman (ANNABELLE, IT). Wan produced the film along with Peter Safran and the movie features Demián Bichir as Father Burke, Taissa Farmiga as Sister Irene, Jonas Bloquet as Maurice "Frenchie" Theriault, and Bonnie Aarons as Valak / The Nun.
