The Kill Counter – Jeepers Creepers 3 (Video)

Hey guys, we're back with yet another episode of the JoBlo original video series THE KILL COUNTER! In this series, we count out any and all kills (onscreen and off) in some of our favorite movies. This week we take on the third entry in the classic creature feature trilogy JEEPERS CREEPERS 3.

We have already covered JEEPERS CREEPERS and JEEPERS CREEPERS 2 here on the show (see above) and so we thought we'd close the loop so to speak and give the final(?) film a day in court. The film stars Gina Philips, Meg Foster, Brandon Stacy, Stan Shaw, and Jonathan Breck returns as the Creeper. This new tale of terror begins when 

A sergeant and his task force embark on a mission to destroy the Creeper on its last day of feeding. The Creeper soon fights back when they get close to discovering its mysterious and dark origins.

This entry is a bit of a weak link in the series, but I have to say it is much better than the second film. The first will always be my favorite and this one comes close to being a fun horror-romp, but ultimately, this third entry flips and flops around trying to overcome its obviously low budget most of the time. The film's screenplay is one of the most imaginative efforts in the franchise, and all of the rather zany ideas contained within could have worked. But in the end, it is little more than an admittedly solid and fun SyFy Movie of the Week.
