On this week's episode, we're taking on Dean Devlin and Roland Emmerich's INDEPENDENCE DAY starring Will Smith, Bill Pullman, Jeff Goldblum, Judd Hirsch, Randy Quaid, Robert Loggia, James Rebhorn, Harvey Fierstein, Harry Connick Jr., James Duval, and Brent Spiner.

In the epic adventure film `Independence Day,' strange phenomena surface around the globe. The skies ignite. Terror races through the world's major cities. As these extraordinary events unfold, it becomes increasingly clear that a force of incredible magnitude has arrived. Its mission: total annihilation over the Fourth of July weekend. The last hope to stop the destruction is an unlikely group of people united by fate and unimaginable circumstances.

INDEPENDENCE DAY was directed by Roland Emmerich from a screenplay he co-wrote along with producer Dean Devlin. The movie features music by David Arnold, cinematography by Karl Walter Lindenlaub, and editing by David Brenner. Centropolis Entertainment was the production company behind the movie which was unleashed into a theater near you by 20th Century Fox back on July 2, 1996.

My favortie kill from the movie has got to be when all those doctors lead by Homeless Data from STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION gets slaughtered after trying to perform an autopsy on an alien that's still alive.
